POLISH ORIENTALISM: ANALYTIC STUDY

Abstract
This research deals with Polish Orientalism. His quest revolves around the absence of Polish Orientalism to a large extent from the attention of those interested in writing about Orientalism. That is only because Poland was not a colonial country. Accordingly, this research aims to identify Polish Orientalism in terms of history and origin. Also to get acquainted with the most prominent pioneers and institutions. It will study its properties and analyses them objectively and scientifically. It will also aim to stand on the developments of contemporary Polish Orientalism, and its institutions. To achieve these goals, the analytical method was used, which is based on: interpretation, criticism, and elicitation . Among the most prominent findings of the research is that Poland's attention - in general - to the Islamic world extends to the sixteenth century AD. As for Orientalist studies, its interest extends to the seventeenth century AD. One of the most prominent and famous orientalists of Poland in that century was Meninski. And that institutional Polish Orientalism began after Poland's independence in 1918, which can be called contemporary Polish Orientalism. Contemporary Polish Orientalism is far from the political purposes that characterises most of the European Orientalism. The research also made some recommendations.The most important of which are: Conducting more researches and objective scientific studies on contemporary Polish Orientalism. Also that Muslim scholars, researchers and institutions work together to build bridges of communication with Polish Orientalism and its institutions and Orientalists, in an effort to enhance the true image of Islam and Muslims in Poland.
