الملخص

ABSTRACT

It is evident that poetry in the Nigerian Arab heritage occupies a high position, and poets in this region have poems for various purposes such as praise, description, lamentation, spinning, and others. The lexical level is a cornerstone of literary study; Knowing the poetic discourse needs to capture its significance and monitor the network of overlapping relationships that make up its aesthetics. This paper aims to shed light on the lexical level in this poem “Guiding the Nation to Cure Grief” by the poet Abdullah Jibril Suleiman; To determine the extent of the poet’s success in choosing the words of this poem and selecting its appropriate significance; And that is by revealing the lexical levels in the poem and its main themes, and focusing on the lexical means of this poetic text, which are: repetition, tandem, linguistic accompaniment with semantic linguistic analysis, and the ideas, expressions and specifications that take into account the vision of the lexicon and the dictionary.
