SOCIAL CRITICISM IN AL- MANFALUTI’S BOOK (AL-NAZARAAT), AND ITS ROLE IN THE ISLAMIC AWARENESS.

Abstract

The book of Al Nazaraat is considered as guide and reference for preachers and sound source for human awareness, and guidance to the Islamic grand characters. In my own opinion, the only shortcoming for book is its title which does not represent the gorgeous content of the book making it main reference for preachers.  This study aims to highlight the of the author’s personality in addition to highlight his critical ideas in general, description of his book (Al Nazaraa), clarifying the social issues handled in it as well as to comprehend the Islamic ideas in particular to know the potential role it can play in the social awareness. Based on the above mentioned, this approach is divided into five axis: the first dealing with the translation of the author and the presentation of his critical ideas, the second is about the book of (Al Nazaraat) itself (its composition, themes and characteristics), he third about social topics, the fourth about the Islamic ideas in the book, the fifth and the last about social criticism and its role in the Islamic awareness. the descriptive approach is chosen due to the broadness of the book and that the necessity calls for providing a comprehensive description of them in certain categories.
