Abstract

This paper is studying Islamic political views of the fifth caliph in Islam, Umar bin Abdulaziz. As to which extent he puts forward the famous statement that: “New social, political civil and religious issues appear in people life as more thy commit immoralities and bawdries” while generating his point of views. Moreover, the above aphorism is a controversial among Muslim jurists and scholars. Therefore, the paper aims at shading light on the view of Umar bin Abdulaziz vis-à-vis the above proverb. The researcher has followed inductive approach to highlight Muslim scholars and jurists point of view in a comprehensive way. Among findings of the paper is that the saying of “New social, political civil and religious issues appear in people life as more thy commit immoralities and bawdries” is one of the core principles of Islamic political science. It is also main spirit of Objectives of Islamic jurisprudence in Judicial system, as it reflects public interests “ MASALIH MURSALAH” , under one condition, that is avoidance of “ BID”AH ” invention in religion.
