The Prostration of the Universe and Its Glorification of Allah Almighty between Divine Revelation and Scientific Evidence
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study examines the prostration and glorification of the universe to Allah Almighty as a comprehensive Quranic reality rather than a mere metaphor. The research problem lies in clarifying how the prostration and glorification of the universe can be understood in light of both the revealed texts and modern scientific evidence, and in determining the relationship between prostration as an act of worship and prostration as a comprehensive cosmic order encompassing inanimate objects, plants, animals, and shadows. The study aims to elucidate this concept in the Qur'an and the Prophetic Sunnah, to analyze the contemporary scientific perspectives that intersect with it, and to define the integrative relationship between revelation and science. It adopts a descriptive-analytical method based on tracing the Shariah texts and the statements of the exegetes and comparing them with modern scientific data on plant and matter awareness and wave behavior. The study concludes that everything in the heavens and the earth glorifies and prostrates to Allah willingly or unwillingly, and that the exegetes' interpretations of the prostration of shadows and its association with morning and evening resonate with what modern science reveals about the regularity of cosmic phenomena, wave behavior, and the complex structure of shadow and darkness. Its scholarly contribution lies in offering an integrative reading that unites devotional meaning with physical order, thereby reinforcing the harmony between revelation and scientific knowledge.
