Abstract

This research focuses on analyzing the position of groups affiliated with Islam in Sweden. It primarily aims to examine the reality of the jurisprudential and doctrinal differences between the various schools of thought and the factors that led to the existence of pluralism and jurisprudential disagreement. To achieve this goal, the research relies on the descriptive analytical method by studying the different schools of thought to which groups affiliated with Islam in Sweden belong, while also addressing the Shiite presence, Sufi orders, the Sulaimani community, the Ahbash community, and the Qadiani/Ahmadiyya. It concludes that the Islamic presence in Sweden is diverse in terms of ethnic and doctrinal origins, and that this diversity is reflected in the institutions, mosques, and missionary and educational activities.
