The Impact of Applying Maqasid al-Shariah on Achieving Academic Learning Outcomes Quality Standards
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study examines the relationship between the objectives of Islamic law (Maqasid al-Sharia) and contemporary academic education. It argues that these objectives should move beyond theoretical frameworks to inform practical educational models, drawing on the Qur’an, the Sunnah, and the scholarly Islamic tradition to shape a comprehensive vision. This vision seeks to develop a balanced individual spiritually, intellectually, and physically capable of fulfilling the role of stewardship while meeting modern demands. Amid the gap between local universities and leading global institutions, the study explores the potential of maqasid-based principles to establish coherent standards for academic quality. It also investigates mechanisms for activating these objectives to connect education with comprehensive social and economic development.Using a descriptive approach, the study outlines key quality standards for academic learning outcomes from a maqasid perspective, aiming to contribute to the integration of ethical purpose with effective academic performance.
