Abstract

This article revolves around the issues in which Ibn Juzzi cited the consensus found in his book “The Jurisprudential Laws” (The Rulings of Ablution as an Example). The research problem lies in the validity of the issues in which Ibn Juzzi mentioned consensus, and to what extent are the pillars and conditions mentioned by the fundamentalists in them available? The importance of the research stems from the importance of consensus, which is considered the third source of legislation after the Qur’an and Sunnah, and has a great impact on life and in uniting the Muslim nation, and in the importance of the book “Jurisprudential Laws,” which is full of consensus issues that need to be verified. This study aims to serve One of the important sources in Islamic legislation is consensus, and verifying the validity of the unanimously agreed-upon issues mentioned by Ibn Jazi in his book “Jurisprudential Laws.” The nature of the study necessitated relying on the inductive approach: by extrapolating the unanimously agreed upon opinions, whether through the book of jurisprudential laws or other books. And extrapolating the basis of this consensus and its era, and the descriptive approach: by defining some ambiguous terms and words, and the analytical approach: by discussing the consensus if there is disagreement about it, and mentioning the more correct one, and finally mentioning the validity of the consensus. The study concluded that most of what Ibn Jazi mentioned about the consensus is correct. It is based on authentic evidence except for a small amount, and the researcher found that most of the issues have been outdated since the time of the Companions - may God be pleased with them -.
