Islamic Sharia had been keen to establish a preventive approach in all aspects of life. A careful reflection on the texts of the two revelations clearly shows that the Sharia provided general guidance on protecting the human body, and then elaborated on the preservation of its individual components and parts. Among these is the emphasis on the care of the mouth, ensuring its cleanliness and attention, which demonstrates that Islam is a religion founded on respecting human beings and preserving their health. The research concluded that while the prevailing view in our present era considers oral care and cleanliness to be within the realm of public health, Islamic law has emphasized this aspect both in its foundational principles and practical applications. Furthermore, a significant number of Islamic scholars throughout history have dedicated attention to this topic with diligence and innovation.
