Abstract
This research aims to study abrogating and abrogated verses in matters of worship and marriage in Surat Al-Baqarah, through the interpretation called "Fath Al-Qadeer" by Imam Al-Shawkani. The research adopts the inductive and analytical methodology, and is divided into an introduction, two sections, and a conclusion. The first section addresses the research problem, which involves examining Imam Al-Shawkani's views on abrogating and abrogated verses in matters of worship. The second section explores his opinions on abrogating and abrogated verses related to marriage, divorce, and waiting period (Al-Iddah). The conclusion highlights the key findings and recommendations of the research. The methodology of the research involves inducing those verses in Fath Al-Qadeer, and knowing the abrogating and abrogated verses, analyzing their significances and attempting a comparison between the scholars’ ways of preference among these verses. The study was conducted using a scientific and objective approach, and it concludes with the mention of the most important results and recommendations.
