Allah’s Attribute of Sufficiency: A Doctrinal Study

Abstract

The Oneness of Allah glory be to Him is the essence of and the best of knowledge, and the most beneficial for the servant. Allah’s Oneness includes Allah’s Names and Attributes. Therefore, this research aimed to study one of Allah's great Attributes which is the attribute of sufficiency, by explaining the meaning of sufficiency in the language, and its meaning in relation to Allah, and explaining the doctrinal deviations related to it, and the effects that return to the servant when he believes the correct belief in this attribute. To address this topic, the researcher employed the inductive, critical, and analytical methodology. The research reached some results, the most important of which are the attestation of the attribute of sufficiency for Allah with evidence from the Quran and Sunnah, the indications to the doctrinal deviations related to the attribute of sufficiency in the texts of the Quran and Sunnah and the sayings of the people of knowledge and the great effects and benefits that return to those who believe in the attribute of sufficiency in accordance with the Quran and Sunnah.
