THE EFFORTS OF IMAM MUHAMMAD AL-BASHIR AL-IBRAHIMI IN CALLING TO GOD: AN ANALYTICAL STUDY

Abstract

The poor condition of Muslims, their ignorance of the truth of their religion, the interests of their world, the emergence of bad role models, and celebrities of corruption, make it necessary for the nation to find good role models, which will protect it from falling into deviation, misguidance, and deviation, and endearing non-Muslims to Islam. This research selected an imam of guidance and a role model, namely Muhammad al-Bashir al-Ibrahimi, who had a great impact in the field of preaching due to his efforts. This discussion was about the pillars of calling to God, which are: the subject of the call, the preacher, and the one being called. The researcher relied on the historical approach in monitoring his works, the analytical approach in analyzing his preaching message, and the descriptive approach in describing his works. The research reached results that highlighted an aspect of his advocacy efforts, of which: Calling to the correct faith, acquiring Islamic knowledge, and having good morals. The need for the preacher to be characterized by good morals, knowledge, and insight, and to be keen on spreading the Sunnah of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, verbally and in practice. The preacher must know the conditions of those invited before inviting them, sit with scholars to benefit from them, work on functional integration between scholars and those in authority among them, and mix with the public. This study is only one of the building blocks of that blessed missionary building, as aspects of his efforts have not yet been studied, and others need more detail and depth in the Imam’s missionary life, may Allah have mercy on him, and God grants success to what is right.
