Abstract

The research dealt with the national dimension in The Makkah Document, and deducing the most important national values stated in the document to highlight them, show their place and importance rooted in the Sharia texts, illustrate their effect in building a good citizen and make him aware of his duties towards his country emotionally and socially, and achieve comprehensive citizenship. The research was divided into three main values: the value of national belonging, the value of national unity and the value of national responsibility. I reached some findings, the most prominent of which are as follows: The Makkah Document offered human principles and practical means for spreading peace and harmony among citizens. Provisions of the Quran and Sunnah urge us to follow national values to achieve necessary goals. National values have Sharia provisions in terms of obligation and prohibition. That indicates the importance of recognizing and applying them. The findings of compliance with national values are clear locally and globally. Peace and positive communication begin with a safe homeland
