A DESCRIPTIVE REVIEW OF JURISPRUDENTIAL RESEARCH IN ISLAMIC BANKING “MURABAHA” BETWEEN THE YEARS 2017-2022
Main Article Content
Abstract
Many jurisprudential research works discussed the subject of Islamic banking “murabaha.” Although it has been a long time since the beginning of writing on this subject, it is still a subject that attracts the attention of researchers. This study seeks to review these scientific research works through evaluating the progress of this production to contribute to the rationalization of research efforts and the direction of future research. To achieve this purpose, the study investigated a sample of research in the last six years using the descriptive analytical approach. It provided a review of these research works according to two dimensions: (1) bibliographic information; (2) reviewing the content of these research works. The study reached a number of results, the most important of which are as follows. The most prominent scientific contributions provided by the research works appeared in the statement of the validity of the application of “murabaha” in a bank, the emergence of circumstances that make the judgment in need to be reconsidered, as is the case with the Corona pandemic, or drawing on some inferences, and the weakness of citing recent research on the subject, which explains the redundancy in many of the issues discussed.
