Abstract

In recent times, we have noticed the emergence of a dangerous phenomenon that threatens the cohesion and stability of Muslim families, which is girls' escape from their families' homes. This research aims to explore the reasons behind girls' escape from their families and focuses on the family reasons and motives, in order to evaluate them in the light of Islamic legal rulings. This research answers the main question: What are the family reasons that drive girls to escape from their family's home, and what are their rulings in Islamic law? Based on this, the research explores the legal rulings on a number of issues and reasons that lead girls to escape from their family's home, such as family disintegration, domestic violence, prevention from education, and prevention from marriage or being forced into it. The researcher followed the inductive approach in examining the reasons, and the descriptive-analytical approach in evaluating these reasons and determining the opinion and ruling of Islamic law on them. The researcher concluded that Islamic law cares for the family and has legislated a number of measures and rulings to preserve it. She also found that family problems, including girls' escape, are a result of distancing oneself from and not adhering to them teachings of Islamic law.
