Abstract

The book Al-Musnad Al-Sahih by Abi Hatim Ibn Hibban Al-Basti is one of the books that are relied upon by the scholars, so working to know the degree of the hadiths of the book in terms of soundness, goodness and weakness is a very important matter, especially when some scholars attributed Ibn Hibban - may God have mercy on him - with leniency in Correction, so knowing its conditions in the book and analyzing them in order to find out the types of hadith with him is of great importance, in order to clarify what was attributed to him of leniency due to his inclusion of good hadiths in his book, which he called the correct name, so he deluded that all of the hadiths in it are Correct, in fact the opposite. Studying his approach and the conditions of his book, and defining the good hadiths he has, and finding out what is in it of good hadiths after studying their chains of narrators, among the things that serve this great book, so that the one who reads it can know: the difference between the authentic hadith and the good hadith according to Ibn Hibban, and the divisions of the good hadith according to him. Comparing them with the rules of hadith scholars, and explaining the reason for Ibn Hibban’s inclusion of good hadiths in his book, which he called authentic And the number of good hadiths that are in his Sahih and the statement of their divisions. The aim of this study is to know the distinguishing differences of the authentic hadith from the good hadith of Ibn Hibban, and the reasons for including the good hadiths in his authentic book, by extrapolating the book from its beginning to the end of the chapter of mercy from the book of righteousness and charity, which is hadith No. (467) from the arrangement of Ibn Balban, to extract the good hadiths And study its chain of transmission to distinguish it from others, and praise be to God, Lord of the worlds.
