ALMUMTIʻ FĪ SHARḤ ALMUQNIʻ FOR SCHOLAR ZAYN ALDDĪN ABĪ ALBRAKĀT ALMNJJÁ BIN ʻTHMĀN BIN ASʻD ALTTANWKHYYI ALHANBALI (695 H) FROM THE FIRST CHAPTERTO THE LAST CHAPTER : AUTHENTICATION AND STUDY

Abstract

The book of Al-Muqniʻ by Muwaffaq al-Din Ibn Qudamah (620 H), whereof there is no doubt, occupies a high position in explaining the Hanbali Mathhab, and scholars have taken care of it in an explanation and brevity. Thus, the book of Almumtiʻ fī sharḥ almuqnʻ Zayn alddīn Abī albrakāt almnjjá bin ʻthmān bin asʻd alttanwkhyyi alhanbali by Zain Al-Din Al-Manji Al-Tanukhi (695 H) is considered the most prominent of its explanations that have reached us, this book is distinguished because of his author’s scientific position, his gathering evidences from the Qur’an, Sunnah, traditions (Athar) and Al-Qiyas on the issues and the narrations mentioned by author of Al-Muqniʻ. The research problem is that this book “Almumtiʻ” was published and authenticated except “the Book of Divorce” which is listed in the lost heritage of nation, but by the grace of Allah (SWT), we got a copy of the missing part, and then I authenticated this missing part (From the first chapter: what is the difference in the number of divorce to the last chapter: if he said “you are divorced if you drink the water that is in the cup and there is no water in it). This research is intended to keep the nation's heritage from being lost and present it to the scholars and the students at its finest. In addition, adopted approach in the research is the scientific approach to verify the heritage, for example, the keenness to clarify the author’s statement as he wanted it, linking the text with its sources, attributing the verses, referencing hadiths, and clarifying the unfamiliar sayings. Finally, the most important results of the research are study of the impact of book of Almumtiʻ in the methodology of the later scholars and their books.
