DEVELOPMENT OF MORAL VALUES IN THE LIGHT OF THE SLANDERING INCIDENT: A THEMATIC ANALYSIS STUDY

Abstract

This research came to address the problem of the moral crisis experienced by many Muslims in the contemporary time, and there is no doubt that learning from the history and events, especially those mentioned in the Islamic sharia, remains its lasting impact on souls. this research  seeks to develop the moral values through the slandering incident against Aisha May Allāh be pleased with Her and aims to reflect on the verses and hadiths of this incident, identify its implications to derive moral values from it and highlight the legitimate methods in the development of moral values and benefit from them in the evaluation of Ethics. By employing both inductive and analytical approaches. The study reached the following findings: (1) the slandering incident involved many great moral values that could reform the society: (2) the slandering incident is a great lesson for believers everywhere and at all times to benefit from it: (3) preserving the honor is an important purpose of the Islamic religion purposes and; (4) diversity of methods for developing moral values in the verses and hadiths of the slandering incident..
