MILESTONES OF THE REFORMIST TREND IN THE IMAM ABDUL HAMID BIN BADIS’S INTERPRETATION, AN ANALYTICAL STUDY

Abstract

This study aims to talk about the intention of the reformist trend in interpretation, and its most important features in the Sheikh Abdul Hamid bin Badis’s interpretation, which included his councils in interpretation, and highlight the advantages of this interpretation and its advantages from others who wrote in the interpretation from the pioneers of the reformist school. In analyzing Ibn Badis' reformist approach to interpretation, the researcher used the inductive analytical method, through which his interpretation was described and the information was analyzed. The researcher concludes in this study that Sheikh Ibn Badis employed the gifts of the Holy Quran in his general reform project, which covered most aspects of life, and dealt with a number of issues and problems that were apparent in societies at the time. With this treatment, he walked on correct assets and disciplined rules, and he was the best written in the explanation from the reformists.
