AL-RABBAANIYYAH AND WAYS OF ATTAINING IT IN LIGHT OF THE NOBLE ‎QUR’AN

Abstract

Indeed, Al Rabbaniyyah as well as the ways and means of attaining it is one of the ‎essential topics that connect the masses, in general, with Allah, the Most Sublime, the ‎Most Majestic, and the scholars and da’wah practitioners in particular, in order to ‎obtain the good in this life and the next. Knowing them is conditional on referring to ‎the Book of Allah, the Most Sublime, the Most Majestic, who commands us therein to ‎embody Al Rabbaaniyyah in all aspects of our life. In fact, the lexical and technical ‎meanings of Al Rabbaaniyyah is illustratable only through carefully studying the ‎verses of the Qur’aan that deal with Al Rabbaaniyyah, and through studying the ‎commentaries of the various exegetes and linguists. The problem of the study has become easily discernable given that the nation’s ‎embodiment of Al ‎Rabbaaniyyah and its connection with Allaah are degenerating. ‎The study adopts a descriptive approach ‎in which the meanings of Al Rabbaaniyyah ‎and issues related to it are illustrated. The analytic method is ‎followed in analyzing the ‎verses and the hadeeths that revolve around the concept of, and the means ‎leading to ‎Al Rabbaaniyyah. The most significant finding of the study is that Al Rabbaaniyyah is to have ‎genuine ‎knowledge of Allaah, ‎the Most Supreme, and get connected to Him, through the ‎means related to ‎the person and the means ‎related to his surroundings. in fact, the ‎most important personal way to abstain ‎Al Rabbaaniyyah is to ‎know Allaah, the Most ‎Supreme, heart-related worship, seeking knowledge, self-‎discipline, and getting ‎closer ‎to Allaah through supererogatory acts of worship, reading the biographies of ‎those ‎epitomizing Al ‎Rabbaaniyyah and drawing a plan for achieving this status. ‎Furthermore, the most ‎important societal ‎means of attaining Al Rabbaaniyyah are ‎godly atmosphere, brotherhood for the sake ‎of Allaah, inviting ‎others to Allaah, ‎education, training, striving on the cause of Allaah, and philanthropy.‎ ‎
