This study examines the relationship between digital social responsibility and adherence to intellectual property rights among undergraduate students in the context of their use of generative artificial intelligence applications, from a sociological perspective that focuses on the gap between rapid technological development and the slow adaptation of value-based and institutional systems, thereby transcending conventional legal and technical approaches. It aims to analyze the nature and dimensions of this relationship by assessing students' level of digital social responsibility, their degree of commitment to intellectual property rights, and the role of social and institutional factors (peer culture, faculty guidance, and institutional policies) in shaping their academic behavior. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical methodology, collecting data through a validated questionnaire administered to a stratified sample of 237 students at Al-Leith University College, representing multiple academic majors and levels. The findings revealed a structural gap between high theoretical awareness of ethical and legal risks and relatively lower practical practices regarding transparency and documentation. A strong correlational relationship was also found between digital social responsibility and adherence to intellectual property rights, with the former explaining over 47% of the variance in ethical behavior. The study concluded that: peer culture, despite being the least recognized factor by students themselves, exerts the strongest influence on shaping their academic commitment.
