الملخص

This research aims to identify the effect of using the virtual laboratory in developing innovative thinking among first-year secondary students in Abyan Governorate in the Republic of Yemen on physics. The research sample consisted of (116) male and female students divided into two groups: an experimental group of 59 individuals (39). female and 20 male students), they were taught using the virtual lab technique, while the control group numbered 57 (37 female and 20 male students), and to achieve the goal of the research, the Torrance Verbal Picture Test (A) was used to measure (fluency - flexibility - originality), The results of the study showed that there are statistically significant differences between the different innovative thinking skills (fluency, flexibility, originality), as well as between the total number of innovative thinking skills between the two study groups, as well as the presence of statistically significant differences between males and females in the control group between innovative thinking skills (fluency, flexibility, originality), and the differences in the level of fluency and flexibility in favor of males, while the difference in the level of originality was in favor of females. There is no statistically significant difference at the level of total innovative thinking between males and females. While there are statistically significant differences between males and females in the experimental group in the skills of flexibility and originality, and there are statistically significant differences in the skill of fluency and the level of total innovative thinking in favor of females. The researcher recommended the need to hold training courses by the supervisory authorities in educational institutions for teachers on the use of virtual worlds in all its forms, so that they are qualified to activate it.
