منهج الإمام ابن الجوزي في توجيه المخصوص بالذِّكر في تفسيره زاد المسير دراسة تحليلية [Imam Ibn al-Jawzī’s Method in Guiding the Specific Mention in His Tafsīr Zād al-Masīr: An Analytical Study]

Abstract

This research aims to study Imam Ibn al-Jawzi's methodology in interpreting the "specific mention" in his exegesis, *Zad al-Masir fi 'Ilm al-Tafsir*, by examining its forms, sources, types, and the value of his interpretation, and by deducing the methodology he employed in interpreting the specific mention in Quranic verses. The research's importance lies in filling a gap in applied exegetical studies, given the absence of a specialized analytical study examining Imam Ibn al-Jawzi's methodology in interpreting the specific mention in his *Zad al-Masir*. The research adopted an analytical approach, utilizing inductive and deductive reasoning to trace and analyze the instances and extract methodological principles from them. The research concluded that Imam Ibn al-Jawzi, in his guidance to the one specifically mentioned, adheres to the sayings of the predecessors, and takes into account the consensus of scholars and the principles of interpretation, and that most of his guidance falls within the difference of diversity, not contradiction, which reflects a balanced interpretive approach that combines narration and knowledge, and relies on context, indication, and language in preference.
