Abstract
Quranic education is one of the most prominent areas of education in the Islamic heritage. For Hojjat al-Islam Imam Abu Hamid al-Ghazali, it is an essential part of learning and teaching; his role is reflected in formulating educational foundations based on the Holy Qur'an, which is considered our guiding constitution. Despite the great importance of Quranic education in Islamic heritage, there is a lack of comprehensive studies on Imam Al-Ghazali's approach in this field. This research aims to bridge this gap by analyzing his methodology for Quranic education, deriving its educational features, and assessing its impact on contemporary Quranic education. The study's significance lies in its blend of tradition and modernity, celebrating the Muslim heritage that advocates for intellectual integration by exploring the originality of Imam Al-Ghazali's curriculum and linking it to the modern educational context, thereby enhancing the understanding of this legacy and its role in the sustainable development of societies. The research showed that Imam Al-Ghazali relied on the Holy Qur'an as the basis for his educational approach. He strengthened the relationship between society and the Qur'an as a means of reforming individuals and building a strong Islamic nation, presenting an approach that combines Sharia and reason. This reflects an integrated vision of Quranic education in his time and may contribute to the development of contemporary Quranic education methods and curricula, thereby enhancing the role of the Holy Qur'an in shaping the Muslim individual's personality.
