MORAL DEVIATION RELATED TO THE HEART AND METHODS OF TREATING IT IN LIGHT OF THE NOBLE QURʾĀN: A THEMATIC ANALYSIS STUDY

Abstract

The importance of this study lies in its focus on the moral deviations related to the heart and the methods of treating them, aiming for prevention in light of the Noble Qurʾān. This study addresses the research problem and fills a scientific gap through clarification and explanation. The researcher presents the moral deviations associated with the heart and explores treatment methods to facilitate prevention, drawing on Qurʾānic verses that indicate these issues. An inductive and analytical approach is employed to track the causes, manifestations, and treatment of moral deviations as reflected in Qurʾānic verses and interpretations by ancient and contemporary scholars. This is followed by a deductive approach to derive treatment methods from the Qurʾānic text. The study concludes with results, recommendations, and suggestions. Among the key findings are the various manifestations of moral deviation related to the heart, which include bad intentions, arrogance, and hypocrisy, among others. It was noted that developing moral values in Muslims should begin with instilling religious restraint from childhood. Believing in and acquiring sound Islamic values, as well as following the example of the Prophet Muhammad (May Allāh bless him and grant him peace), are crucial means for cultivating good values. The study emphasizes the importance of adhering to both revelations, frequently reciting the Noble Qurʾān, and maintaining consistency in this practice. Furthermore, it advocates for the dissemination of values such as faith, piety, optimism, and the spirit of enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, along with promoting tolerance, good opinions, and acceptance of others..
