DOCTRINAL ISSUES PERTAINING TO SOME TYPES OF THE PEOPLE OF THE BOOK IN THE STATES OF PEACE AND WAR

Abstract

Praise be to Allah, the lord of the worlds, and may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon the leader of the Prophets and Messengers, and upon all his family and companions. The researcher mentioned the types of People of the Book in the states of peace and war, as well as the approach of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama`ah in dealing with each of those types. Then he mentioned the rulings pertaining to the People of War and Peace and mentioned the categories of the People in the state of Peace that include the non-Muslims who are bound by a peace treaty with Muslims, and those who receive protection, and those who are given asylum in an Islamic state. And then he mentioned the issues related to the Islamic Doctrine on each of those types. Finally, he mentioning the most important results of the research.
