Islamic law honored women and gave them a great status, and forbade the son from saying a hurting word to her. So it was obligatory for the son to honor his mother, even if she was an infidel, so he would be kind to her and take care of her rights. In the pre-Islamic era, women were sold, bought, and buried alive. This was not specific to the Arabs of the pre-Islamic period, but rather it was the condition of women is bad in various countries, cultures and religions. In the distant East, in India, the situation for women was worse than their situation in the Arabian Peninsula. The Brahminical Religion viewed women as those who lost possessions, and they were subordinate to the man in everything, and their lives depended on his presence. In many cases, she was not entitled to life after him, as he invented the Brahmin custom of Sati is to burn a woman alive if her husband dies, or to keep her locked in the house until she dies.The study here comes to shed light on the provisions for women in Hindu Law with regard to inheritance, the right to own property, marriage, divorce, and other provisions that pertain to women, all through the Law of Manu, which is a divine legislation in the Hindu religion
