Abstract
This research seeks to study the semantic guidance of Qur’anic readings Al-Khatib Al-Sherbiny's In his interpretation (alsiraj almunir fi al'iieanat ealaa maerifat baed maeani kalam rabina alhakim alkhabiri) Through Surat An-Nisa,, The research problem arises in the work on studying Al-Khatib Al-Sherbini’s method in directing readings with one type of guidance, which is semantic guidance. Since this work has not previously been devoted to an independent study, The research aims to clarify the preacher’s approach in directing readings with semantic guidance in his interpretation. The researchers followed the inductive-deductive approach, by extrapolating Al-Khatib Al-Sherbini’s interpretation - may God have mercy on him - of Surat An-Nisa and identifying the verses in which he gave the different readings semantic guidance, in order to derive his approach in dealing with the readings. As well as the analytical approach in analyzing the material collected after inducting and studying it, to clarify his approach in dealing with and directing the readings. The researchers reached a number of results, the most important of which are: The author’s tendency to be brief in directing the readings, 2. The lack of error in attributing the readings to their readers, 3. He was limited to the seven readers, and he did not mention the rest of the readers or abnormal readings except rarely. 4. He attributes the readings to their readers by their names and does not attribute them to their places, so he does not use words. Like the people of Medina read or the Basrans read, 5. The semantic direction of the readings shows the ingenuity of the Qur’anic statement in the flow of meanings with the least movement to be careful not to miss the purposes and limit oneself to one purpose; This is the utmost brevity and miraculousness. 6. The semantic diversity resulting from the difference in readings is a kind of brevity in collecting meanings in an eloquent language far from being lengthy with vocabulary. 7. The semantic direction generates dual connotations in the verse that would not have been achieved without the difference and diversity of readings, and adds semantic features that are not present. One reading.
