THE METHODOLOGY OF IMAM ABU AL-SUUD AL-IMADI WITH QIRAAT IN HIS INTERPRETATION “IRSHAD AL-AQL AL-SALEEM ELA MAZAYA AL-KETAB AL-KAREEM) THROUGH THE QIRAAT MENTIONED IN SURAT AL-RUM: AN INDUCTIVE ANALYTICAL STUDY

Abstract

The variation in Quranic Readings increases the ijaaz of the Quran as well as its meanings and interpretation. Therefore, many Tafseer scholars included Qiraat and their meanings and grammar explanations in their interpretations. Each of them had his own methodology in doing so. This research effort investigates the Qiraat in the interpretation of Imam Abu Saaud AlImadi entitled (Irshad AlAql Alsaleem), because it focuses on Qiraat and their tawjeeh and effects on the meaning. This research effort defines and analyzes the Qiraat in this tafseer in surat AlRum, as well as analyzing and concluding the methodology of the Imam in mentioning the Qiraat, their types, their Azu or who read each Qiraa, their tawjeeh, and his choice among those Qiraat. The research came to results including: Tafseer (Irshad AlAql Alsaleem) focuses on both the Recurrent Qiraat as well as the Shathah Qiraat; there were 57 Qiraat mentioned in surat AlRum; the imam showed his choice only in two qiraat; most variation in Qiraat in those surahs were mentioned, however not all the shathah qiraat were mentioned; the Azu and the types of the Qiraat were not included; the imam did brief tawjeeh for 21 variations and included several types of tawjeeh such as linguistic tawjeeh, tawjeeh with Quran, with hadith and with Arab dialects.
