Abstract

This research deals with one of the important topics related to the Holy Qur’an. The main problem of the research is how to express about what the womb loses (abortive fetus) mentioned at one place in the Holy Qur’an. It is an expression that carries one of the extensive meanings that shows the Qur’anic miracle manifested at the accuracy of briefing. This research aims to reveal the meaning of abortive fetus (how much the wombs fall short). The researcher used the inductive, deductive, and analytical approach, with reaching to several results, the most important of which are:  It is only God Almighty (Allah) who knows what is inside the wombs at all phases of human creation, and that the difference among the interpreters related to the concept of “what the womb loses/ abortive fetus” is a difference of diversity, not contradiction, which is due to the meaning of increase and decrease, diversified in its aspects, and varied at the time of its occurrence. The abortive fetus may occur at the early stages of the creation of the human being, and others may occur at any stage of the creation. Holy Qur’an uses terms, chargeable with meaning and high eloquence, which makes human being, regardless of how much their eloquence, stand helpless to produce such terms with the same degree of eloquence.
