THE APPROACH OF AL-IMĀMĪYAH IN INFERENCE BY UNVEILING, INSPIRATION AND DREAMS IN PROVING THE UNSEEN

Abstract

The research deals with one of the issues in which the Imāmīyah has a special vision that differs greatly from the correct legal vision and the approach of Ahl as-Sunnah wa al-jamāʻah. Which raises a major question: what is the approach of al-imāmīyah in inference by unveiling, inspiration and dreams in proving the unseen? This research aims to focus on Imāmīyah's approach to inference by unveiling, inspiration and dreams in proving the unseen, and clarify flaws and deviation in their approach and criticize them. By employing the descriptive and the critical approach in dealing with the topic, The researcher has reached the following findings: (1) According to al-imāmīyah, the unveiling is an argument for inferring the beliefs and the unseen;,as they see that the knowledge of Allāh may be attained for the servants by whatever he wants from the levels of knowledge, and among that is knowing Allāh and knowing the meanings of His Names; (2) The Imāmīyah concluded that the Imāmī inspiration is the reason for the infallibility of the Imāms, which made their sayings like the saying of the Prophet (Peace And Blessings Be Upon Him). Therefore, this inspiration is an argument for the Imāmīyah in inference with it to prove the unseen and creed matters; (3)   The Imāmīyah believes that the dreams of the Imāms is considered as a revelation same as the dream of the prophets which considered as a revelation, and accordingly it must be acted upon and inferred in proving the beliefs and the unseen, as result of that, the Imāmīyah believes that the Shiites are preferred over the rest of creation; (4 All the claims made by the Imāmīyah related to unveiling, inspiration and dreams are false and baseless, as the Prophet ﷺ did not reach this level As well as others.  The researcher recommended studying the issues of unveiling, inspiration and dreams for the rest of the Islamic sects that are in conflict with the methodology of Ahl as-Sunnah wa al-jamāʻah and the correct approach.
