Abstract
The Islamic conquest of Jerusalem was not just an ordinary event, especially in light of the religious and sacred interest in it in the three monotheistic religions; This prompted orientalists to address this first and then second conquest according to the dimensions and orientalist influences, and accordingly; The problem of the research revolves around the image of the civilizational dimension of the Islamic conquest of Jerusalem through Orientalist studies, and the aim of the research is to highlight the civilized dimension of the Islamic conquest of Jerusalem through oriental studies. Its dimensions, and according to the research method, the researcher reached its results, which include: The civilizational dimension is manifested in the first Omari conquest of Jerusalem and the second conquest of Jerusalem and its consequences, accompanying and fruitful results. Civilized and peaceful in appreciation of its sanctity in souls, and its liberation constituted a model for the ability of the Islamic nation to mobilize its energies and mobilize its material and moral strength to achieve victory and consolidate civilized values. This is a witness to the justice of Islam in dealing with the violator, as well as the orientalists’ agreement on the justice of Omar and Salah al-Din and their good treatment with their opponents.
