THE VOLUNTEER WORK IN THE NOBLE QURʼĀN AND ITS IMPACT ON THE PSYCHOLOGICAL REFORM

Abstract
The research problem lies in the weakness of awareness about importance of voluntary work as a tool for self-reform, it is not possible to rely on educational or religious institutions to play this role. Rather there must also be a social responsibility by organizung conferences and writing rsearches to educate the community about the importance of voluntary work and show its reformative effects on the individuals and groups. Therfore, this study aims to determine the concept of voluntary work in Islam, explain its importance in Islam and show its great impact on reforming the individual and society according to the Islamic scientific method that responds to the needs of human nature. Moreover, the research seeks to be a reference in building the culture of volunteer work in society. The inductive-analytical method was applied to write this research, by tracing the verses of the Qurʼān to detect the synonyms of voluntary work, analysing them to show their effects in reforming the nation, educationally and psychologically. The study cocluded that (1) the term of (voluntary work) was not mentioned in the Noble Qurʼān, but its meaning was indicated by many synonymous structures; (2) the volunteery work in the Noble Qurʼān, extends to the both material and moral spheres; (3) the care of the Qurʼān about the psychological reform of human and; (4) The significant positive impact of the volunteer work in reforming the psychological aspect of the human, and thus reforming it in the society.
