ḤUSN AL-TAKHALLUṢ IN SURAT AL-ḤIJR: AN ANALYTICAL STUDY

Abstract

The current research deals with one of the rhetorical arts, and one of the methods of the Quran in linking its verses with the scenes of its Surahs, through one of the Quran’s surahs to find out the ingenuity of topic or scene shifting (Ḥusn Al-Takhalluṣ) between its verses. This research was entitled (Ḥusn Al-Takhalluṣ in Surat Al-Ḥijr: An Analytical Study). It aimed to highlight one of the aspects of the rhetorical miracle in the Holy Quran, revealing the purposes of coherence and unity between the verses of the Holy Qur'an in Surat Al-Hijr, Coherence and unity between the scenes of the surah with its verses that facilitates their understanding, speculation of their meanings and realization of their purposes. I have adopted the deductive analytical approach. The most prominent findings of this research are the existence topic or scene shifting (Ḥusn Al-Takhalluṣ) along with coherence and unity between the verses of the Holy Quran, rather it is one of the most important methods, and coherence and unity between its various objectives and purposes. It has a great correlation with the science of events. One of the purposes of the topic or scene shifting (Ḥusn Al-Takhalluṣ) along with coherence and unity in Surat Al-Hijr is the establishing the facts with evidence and proof to refute the argument of the unbelievers. The research recommended to pay special attention to study the coherence and unity of the Holy Quran, since it is one of its miraculous aspects, and holding a comparison between the coherence and unity in the Meccan and Medinan Surahs.
