Abstract

The research aimed to explain the reality of education departments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to identify the mechanisms of work and development of the performance of education directors, as well as to explain the role of strategic thinking in developing educational departments in the Kingdom. The research problem resulted in a statement of the reality of education departments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and an explanation of the work mechanisms and development of the performance of education directors and the necessity of standing The study focused on strategic thinking and its role in developing educational departments in the Kingdom. The study used the descriptive and analytical approach, through which the facts and current circumstances related to the nature of the problem are described, and data is collected, organized, classified and analyzed accurately. The study concluded with a number of results, the most important of which are regarding the reality of education departments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The arithmetic mean for this dimension was 4.72and according to the arithmetic averages obtained for the indicator phrases in the questionnaire, the phrase “Education departments adopt a participatory system in management and supervision” and the phrase “The administration provides opportunities for communication with employees at all levels” were in an advanced position with an arithmetic mean. 4.88and with regard to the mechanisms of work and development of the performance of education managers, the arithmetic average for this dimension was 4.52which means that training managers on electronic management is effective, as it came with an arithmetic average of 4.64and with regard to strategic thinking and its role in developing educational departments In the Kingdom, the arithmetic average for this dimension was 4.57and according to the arithmetic averages according to the questionnaire, strategic thinking helps managers integrate the ideas presented into a creative idea with an arithmetic average of 4.83The study recommended the necessity of conducting studies, seminars, workshops, and scientific meetings to correct the imbalance. The major research topic to discuss the working mechanism of conferences discusses this important topic with more than one scientific paper.
