Abstract

This paper studied the core relationship between denotation and other linguistic elements such as phonetics, morphology, syntax, and lexicon, in respect that, language is an integrated system consisting of interrelated elements on its basics levels, not as a group of contained entities. This paper aims to clarify the core relationship between denotation and each of the other linguistic elements, and the impact of each in the meaning of a statement and elucidate it; that, by adopting the comparative descriptive method to clarifying whether the denotation reveals its dependant on one side, Or we have to take into account most aspects of phonetic, morphological, grammatical, and lexicon to knowing the intended meaning, therefore, this paper content four themes: The first one showed the relationship between denotation and phonetic, the second between denotation and morphology, and the third one showed the relationship between denotation and syntax, while the fourth one was devoted to the relationship between the denotation and the lexicon. Lastly, the research concluded that, the denotation liaison with all the elements of language is unbendable and indispensable, and cannot in anyways putting concern on some areas and neglecting another.
