Abstract

ABSTRACT: Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the most honorable of messengers, our Master Muhammad, and upon his family and companions and those who follow them in righteousness until the Day of Judgment. Amen. Arabic functional grammar has given great importance to indicators of performative power, which are often found at the beginning of a sentence, a solid foundation upon which a sentence is based in Arabic functional grammar. The tools of origin play an effective role in clarifying the semantic and pragmatic functions of a sentence, as they help determine the literal and implied performative power of Arabic sentences. 1 Given the importance of these tools in constructing the Arabic sentence and highlighting their literal and implied connotations, the researcher conducted this research with the aim of clarifying their meaning in Arabic functional grammar and explaining their various connotations in Surat Yasin. This research uses the inductive and analytical approach. The importance of this research lies in its contribution to shedding light on the importance of indicators of performative power and their role in understanding the words of God Almighty, on the one hand, and in understanding the dialogues taking place between the speaker and the addressee in various communicative situations, on the other.
