Abstract

ABSTRACT: Developing linguistic performance among students of the Arabic Language Education Department for non - native speakers, writing skills are believed to play an important role in language learning and developing other language skills. Results have shown that there is a positive relationship between writing skill and language performance, and that developing writing skill can contribute to improving students' linguistic performance. The study also recommended that the link between Arab and foreign students should be strengthened in order to develop their language performance through direct discourse and effective communication.


The analytical descriptive approach, which is one of the most appropriate for this type of research, has been used to achieve research objectives. Questionnaire was also used as a key tool; To analyse the views of students of the Department of Arabic Language Education for non - native speakers at Umm al-Qura University.
