This study aimed to reveal the importance of oral exercises in developing language skills in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, as they represent the practical aspect and direct language practice, in order to achieve the communicative competence of non-Arabic language learners, and among the most important questions are: What are oral exercises? What are the types of oral exercises? To what extent can oral language training be invested in developing language skills? What are the bases for choosing oral exercises to suit the language skill? The study confirmed the importance of exercises in developing language skills in general and skills related to oral communication in particular (speech - reading - listening), the study also confirmed that the use of oral exercises and their inclusion in the curriculum contributes to the transformation of Arabic-speaking learners from other traditional educational methods to modern educational methods that make the learner the focus of the process, and contribute to raising his communicative efficiency, through this study and the researcher’s own experience, it was found that the increase and intensification of oral exercises in a greater proportion than written exercises in the language lesson, it contributes directly to the development of language skills, especially those related to oral communication, and makes learners invest what they have learned in the classroom in their own life.

كما أكدت الدراسة أن استخدام التمارين الشفهية وإدراجها في المناهج يساهم في إخراج المتعلمين الناطقين بالعربية لطرق تعليمية تقليدية أخرى ، والتي تقوم على الحفظ وتجعل المتعلم معزولاً عن الجانب التطبيقي من عملية التعلم ويجعل لهم بؤرة التعلم في اللغة ، وجعلهم محور عملية التعلم.
