The study of the phenomenon of polysemy in the Noble Qur’an is considered one of the linguistic studies that are indispensable to understanding the meanings of the Noble Qur’an. Therefore, it was necessary to study how translators deal with this phenomenon when transferring the meanings of the Noble Qur’an to other languages. This research seeks to study the term " ummah " in the Holy Qur'an and how the Chinese translators dealt with this word when translating it into Chinese in the light of the multiple contexts of the Qur'an. This research aims to identify the translation strategies applied by both “Muhammad Makin马坚” and “Wang Jing Zhai 王静斋” when translating the term “ummah” in the Noble Qur’an into Chinese, with the aim of knowing whether they succeeded in conveying the intended meaning of the term “ummah” according to its different contexts to the target reader or not. The research concluded, by presenting the strategies for translating the term “ummah” that the translators have taken into account in most of the places where this word came to the role of context in interpreting the intended meaning, so the strategies they applied differed according to the different context, and the translation strategies were more general and translation By clarifying most of the strategies applied by Muhammad Makin, while Wang Jing Zhai tended to apply the two translation strategies with a less expressive and more neutral wording, as well as the translation by clarification in some places, except that in some places he used words that do not convey the true meaningWhat is meant by the word “ummah”.
