Abstract

This research study  deals with ( ELLIPSIS ) in both Arabic and Yoruba languages which laborite how this (Ellipsis) appears in both languages on an applied contrasting study between the two languages, and this study clarified the similarities and differences between the two languages, athough it was codified in the two languages and studied in their ways, they differ in more than one aspect in which they agree, and thus this (Ellipsis) differs from one language to another. From Arabic language to Yoruba, therefore the researcher chose a group of examples from the two languages for study for the propose of clarification.
