Abstract

ABSTRACT


Identity has definitions and classifications, on which theories have been formulated and conventions and concepts have been formed against it, and that is only because of the problem of its crystallization and formulation and dialectic of its intellectual use and the appearance of its psychological and social formation.     Identity is nothing but self-awareness, its awareness of existence, its understanding of itself, and its knowledge of its being And its understanding of the requirements of its reality and capabilities in congruence, discrepancy, contradiction or dependency. Therefore, identity is an integral part of the formation of individuals from birth until their departure from life, in its expression of a set of their characteristics that reflects the culture, language, belief and civilization, and the history of each individual as well as being a bridge for communication between all individuals, whether within their societies, or with different societies in added privacy For them, people are dealt with according to their own identity, so identity has types that each type contributes to referring to a particular term or idea about something. Among the most important types of identity; National identity, which is identified through a personal card that contains a set of information and data that distinguishes an individual who belongs to a country. As well as ((cultural identity)), which depends directly on the language, as the cultural identity is distinguished by its transmission of the nature of language as it is one of the main factors in building the culture of individuals in society.
