Main Article Content
Abstract
This research aims to gather, in one place, the narrations in which there are prohibitions from the Book of Dress from Sahih Al-Bukhari, whether the prohibition is direct or indirect, and to clarify the wisdom of the prohibition in these hadiths, whether it be from the words of the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وسلم), or from the deductions of the commentators and scholars, with a focus on
clarifying the influence of the school of Jurisprudence in the explanation of the wisdom if found. The research’s importance lies in the fact that it addresses an area in Fiqh As-Sunnah, that collects these hadiths in one place, while exposing the wisdoms in the prohibitions and the level of influence of the school of Jurisprudence in the explanation of these wisdoms. The research adopted an inductive approach, in gathering the hadiths in which there is a
prohibition, and the analytical method in organizing them into groups based on whether the prohibition is direct or indirect, and whether the wisdom of the prohibition in these hadiths, are from the words of the Prophet, or not. The most important results of this research are: a) The number of hadiths in which there are prohibitions is 74 hadiths with repetition, and 31
without repetition. From these, there are 4 hadiths in which the prohibition is direct and the wisdom is mentioned, 15 hadiths in which the prohibition is direct and the wisdom is not mentioned, 10 hadiths in which the prohibition is indirect while the wisdom is mentioned, and 2 hadiths in which the prohibition is indirect, and the wisdom is not mentioned. b) Every
prohibition has wisdom which works to bring benefit for people and repel harm from them.
