Abstract

This paper tackled the relation between suicide and atheism logically and practically. It logically confined atheists who believe that religion is a myth and life is a mere material coincidence that brought meaningless suffering, misery and absurdity with no purpose or goal to correct this cosmic error and end their lives in quest for peace from distress and harassment. This is what some atheists call for and applied especially in time of intense life difficulties. This paper exhibited a sample of suicide incidents committed by famous atheists or people influenced by atheists notions. This study do not encourage suicide; on the contrary, it demonstrated the danger of atheism on life as it paves the way for silicide. This study calls upon to take firm position against atheism calls due to their danger on humans. This study discussed the claim of believers oppression of atheists and the assertion that it was the reason behind the phenomenon of suicide among atheists. This study falsified this claim and exposed the real reason behind this phenomenon. The real reasons are obstinacy against divine nature, unreasonable stickle of conscious towards divinity proofs and the loneliness of disbelieving in a whole world that praises Allah. This paper includes a preface about the meaning of atheism and suicide.
