Abstract

This paper is entitled Al-qera'at that have been Transmitted by the Mothers of Believers (UmmahatAlmo'mineen). It concentrates on the different readings (Qera'at) of the Holy Qura'an in the interpreters' and readings' (Qera'at) books that have been told by the mothers of believers (UmmahatAlmo'mineen). Its aim is to locate those readings (Alqera'at), verify them, show how Qura'anic scientists dealt with them, and find out about how they contributed in the interpretation of verses in the Holy Qura'an. Furthermore, it shows the role of the mothers of believers (UmmahatAlmo'mineen), may Allah be pleased with them, in serving the Holy Qura'an.

This paper finds out that those readings(Alqera'at)had been told by Aiysha, Hafsa and Um-salama, may Allah be pleased with them, excluding the rest of prophet Mohemmed's wives. Also, there is some variance among them in the number of alqera'at that have been transmitted. Furthermore, there is a variance among those readings in the degree of validity. Due to that, there are seven authentic readings that have been spotted. Moreover, this paper show that some readings had been told by only one of them. In addition, there is some variation in the readings themselves. Some readings are correspondent with the syntax of the verse or the interpretation of it which is proved in this paper.
