Abstract

Context is a semantic concept and an important pragmatic mechanism in the interpretation of texts; It includes the text and what is beyond the text, and Arab thought knew it in the past, as they have known it as the status, or the necessity of the situation, and this concept - the status or the necessity of the situation - stuck to the Holy Quran, so it was known to them as the occasions of revelation; which is mainly a tool for understanding and contemplation of the Holy Quran. It is not easy to separate the different types of context. All the context is a unitary whole with interconnected parts which all of them contribute to understanding the intentions of the speaker, directing his intentions in a correct way, or closer to the right. The main problem of this research lies in the following question: How does the context -pragmatically- contribute to the understanding and interpretation of Qur'anic readings ?, It also aims to indicate the role of context as a pragmatic tool in explaining the precise meaning of the Qur’anic terms by their different reading in their various contexts; To confirm that the Qur’anic recitations - of all kinds - are one of the aspects of the usage miracle in the Holy Qur’an, as a proclamation message, and a communication method between handlers. This study relies on the descriptive analytical approach that monitors the phenomenon and analyzes it to foresee the future with the results that it reached. The study relied on the observation tool to interpret the Qur’anic reading in its various contexts. One of the most important results of this research is that the context is an important tool in understanding the texts generally and in particular the Quranic text. Moreover, context is an important tool in weighting the meanings, and that Qur'anic readings can be properly understood considering the contextual theory, and that there is no contradiction between these readings.
