The The Impact of Islamic Quality Standards on Strategic Planning
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aimed to examine the impact of quality standards in Islam on strategic planning by conceptualizing quality from an Islamic perspective, analyzing its main dimensions—Shura (consultation), trustworthiness (Amanah), excellence (Itqan), cooperation, and self-monitoring—and explaining their role in strengthening strategic planning. The study was motivated by the conceptual gap between quality standards derived from Islamic teachings and contemporary strategic planning literature. It adopted the inductive approach to examine relevant Islamic sources and the descriptive-analytical approach to analyze and interpret the relationship between the study variables. The findings indicate that Islamic quality standards constitute an integrated value-based framework that enhances strategic planning by improving decision-making quality, reinforcing responsibility and accountability, promoting excellence in performance, encouraging teamwork, and strengthening self-monitoring. These standards contribute to achieving a balance between organizational efficiency and adherence to Islamic values. The study recommends integrating Islamic quality standards into contemporary administrative practices and conducting empirical research to examine their impact across different fields of strategic management.
