Proposed educational methods for developing the teacher’s role in building moral values among male and female secondary school students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Abstract

This study aimed to determined the teacher role in developing some of the moral values for the 3rd Secondary school students in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from their view The research followed the survey descriptive method .The study sample consisted of 1000 students of the third Secondary School from Bader Office in Al-Madinah General Administration of Education who were selected in a simple random way. The mentioned study was carried out through questionnaire to analyze the data .The research found that the general arithmetic average of teacher role in developing the moral values from their view is (4.49) strongly agree degree .As the other value (respecting others) came with (4.49) with strongly agree degree with arithmetic average of (4.49) with strongly agree degree . The other value (Truth) of(4.49) with strongly agree degree .The (Forgiveness) value came of (4.46) with strongly agree degree . Helping others value came of (4.44) with strongly agree degree .Finally the Modesty value came of (4.41) with strongly agree degree respectively . There were differences in scores average of individual samples of the 3rd Secondary School Students in post application for the questionnaire instrument about the teacher role in developing some of the moral values for their students due to the gender variable factor in favor of female and for the specialization variable in favor of forensic science in all questionnaire dimension except the (Truth) value in the favor of natural science .As the result indicated for the suggested ways for developing the role of the teacher in developing the moral values for the Third Secondary School Students which are :1-Realizing his responsibility of developing the moral values for his students 2-The teacher must follow the Mankind’s Master and the teacher of moral values Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him)
3-Well dealing with the students and choosing the polite words which reflects his personality in the first place and also makes the students love his subject and listen attentively . According to that the study has recommended to prepared programs and suitable educational planes to make changes in the students behavior e.g: A-Helping Others B-Respecting Others C-Modesty D-Truth E-Forgiveness .Also ,urging the officials in Saudi Minister of Education to put rules to establish the ethics of teaching profession to students and promoting it to them.
