Abstract
The research aimed to estimate the degree of importance of professional practices among general education teachers in the light of professional licensing standards from their point of view, in addition to revealing the significance of statistical differences between the means of estimating the degree of importance of professional practices among general education teachers in light of professional licensing standards, which may be attributed to variables (experience, academic qualification, and specialization) and followed the survey descriptive approach, and the sample consisted of (385) teachers who were randomly selected from general education schools at all stages of the General Administration of Education in the regions of Jeddah and Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and a questionnaire was used as a data collection tool that measures the importance of professional practices in planning units, activities and preparation For learning and evaluation environments, it consisted of (15) statements whose validity and reliability were confirmed. The results of the study revealed that there was a high degree of importance for professional practices in the light of professional license standards. The arithmetic mean value was (3.81) with a standard deviation of (0.29). They are arranged (calendar, creating interactive and supportive learning environments for the student, planning and implementing study units and activities), and the arithmetic means for them ranged from (3.82-3.79) with standard deviations (0.30-0.35). The degree of importance is attributed to the variables experience, academic qualification, and specialization. The research recommended training teachers during service and enabling them to practice teaching in the light of professional license standards.
