Laboratory skills to develop job performance of chemistry teachers and technicians in secondary schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Abstract
This study aimed to arrive at the Skills of dealing with laboratories necessary to develop the professional performance of chemistry teachers and technicians in secondary schools. Identify the techniques of dealing with laboratories to be provided to chemistry teachers and technicians. Diagnosis of the degree and level of professional performance of chemistry teachers and technicians in light of the skills of dealing with the laboratories and their observance. Access to the foundations and procedures for at the effectiveness of developing the professional performance of chemistry teachers and technicians in the light of the skills of dealing with laboratories. And to know the impact of the training courses on the estimates of the chemistry teachers and technicians to the degree or level of professional performance in light of the skills of dealing with the laboratories.To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive analytical method was used. Based on the problem of the study and its objectives, the target community for this study was the chemistry teachers and technicians in public secondary schools (boys - girls) in Asir region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the total (164) (152) male and female teachers, respectively. The current study was applied to a random sample of chemistry teachers and technicians. It was selected from three educational departments of the Education Department of Asir Region (Abha, Khamis Mushayt, and Rejal Al Ma'a) with 25 teachers from each educational department. The current study requires the use of the questionnaire as a tool to achieve the objectives and answer the study questions. The questionnaire explores the degree and level of professional performance of chemistry teachers and technicians and the extent to which the laboratory is active in the teaching of chemistry. At the end of the study, the researcher reached at the effectiveness of developing the professional performance in the light of the techniques of dealing with laboratories through practical training courses and in the context of the need of teachers and technicians to keep pace with scientific development.
